Items to improve my archery.?

I am going to make target archery my main sport (I don't hunt), and as of now i will start saving to get myself the best gear possible. Other than practice, hard work, and dedication, what equipment would i find useful in making my archery as accurate as possible. I currently use a re-curve bow but i will be getting a compound soon so please list items for both. Thank you very much. :)
