Atlantica online question?

well... i am going to play atlantica online in october (long story) and i still don't know which class to be... like should i be an archer or staff? i want my char to reflect how i am in real life. i usually like to stay in the back and i usually suck at all i do... ok so which of all the classes do you think i should be? i'm thinking staff or bow. oh and could you explain to me wth would a staff character be like or what role would it be in a fight? i have always liked archery but have never tried it myself and idk if i would be good probably not. lol i know this is weird but pleease help :) thanks!
