How to get the Hawkeye in Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess?

I used Wii Power Saves before playing the actual game. So this is what the question will be about. It seems that no matter what I do, I can not seem to get the Hawkeye. I have done the archery challenge after the 2nd dungeon. Then when I go to the store it does not show the Hawkeye and says that the Hylian Shield is sold out. Can anyone explain what the problem is?
